Welcome back

Time flew by... It's already Week 3 of term 1 and we have already started to thrive to space. Science has been rolling, maths on the other hand is above the skies and reading has just started floating.

The year 7's have just started  and have made many friends and are having fun while learning and playing with their new friends.

Welcome our new students from overseas.

Yesterday a lot of Korean students got their own partner as mine was Suyun Oh and Dharm's partner is Mark. We were not the only ones to get partners as others did get them too. They are students that came to New Zealand at the 4th of August and are leaving at the 23rd of August. They all came from Korea and are keen to learn about everything they possibly can.

These are all the Korean international students in Block 3

Term 3 Week 1

All of block 3 students are back from their holidays and have been going straight in action.
We all hope you had a great and happy holiday, but now it is time to put your holiday clothes in the cupboard and get your uniform out.
Week 1 itself has been amazing with how we've all settled into our new timetable. Reading groups have been amazing! Maths is my personal favourite as we are doing geometry and we are also now starting to go back to the olden days by reducing the use of chrome books and using more pen and paper to bring hardware homework at home instead of software such as our Maths Mate!
With science we have been doing Material world and have been learning stuff like matter, density, gases and much, much, much more.
Inquiry/Social Studies:
Inquiry is now going to be called Social Studies and for Social studies we have been doing research on the Olympics as it is being held this year!
For health we are learning Puberty. This was a weird and funny subject for the first session but afterwards we became more and more mature.

I think that Block 3 is striving to success!

Block 3s got Talent

Today during the Block 3 Assembly wer were lucky to have Jerry and Cherry Lam perform for us.

To start the performance Cherry played our National Anthem on the recorder before Jerry accompanied her on the violin.

Jerry them performed a repotoi that spanned from Let It Go from Frozen to the Star Wars theme song to Vivaldi.

Incredible. Well done guys!!!!
